But this Paleo creature also likes her smoothies a bit more classic tasting (sweet-ish chocolatey or vanilla). And I managed to produce a tasty low carb treat thanks to of a small Paleo *cheat.
80 g spinach or baby kale
70 g pumpkin
60 g carrots
40 g beets
1 tps vanilla extract
1/4 cinnamon stick
half medium sized avocado
1 tbs coconut flakes
20 g chocolate whey isolate powder
5 g raw chocolate powder
8 g Green Superfood powder
Wash veggies and put into a pot with cinnamon stick and vanilla extract. Let it cook until carrots are soft but not mushy. Add the leafy greens if you cannot handle raw stuff to simmer for a few minutes. Let it cool in fridge or freezer.
Add all ingredients in blender (entire content of pot, yes the cinnamon stick, too) together with 1-2 handful of ice cubes or just a bit water if your blender is not powerful enough.
Blend until super smooth. Serves 1-2 (I'm usually having that for dinner with 2 eggs)
*Whey is not considered Paleo. But through the filtering process whey isolate does not contain or is very low on lactose, carbs and cholesterol.
