The 90 Day Revamp started out as ego challenge between two trainers: Yours truly, representing the Paleo side and Niels Pivato, a genetically blessed and athletic martial arts instructor living on a healthier version of the standard Western diet slightly embellished with a respectable amount of dark chocolate.
For Niels it was about becoming more ripped and fitter with the benefit of being smug over a fellow trainer.
For me it was simply to get back on the Paleo wagon. During the holidays in chilly Shanghai I have succumbed to temptations of home-made cookies and dessert buffets. Also although a very lively city Shanghai is not a very outdoorsy city. Upside: I developed a nice extra padding against the cold. Downside: I developed a extra padding against the cold.
In the beginning of 2013 we will both start a challenge based on body fat % calculated by the US Navy Body fat calculator and the Insanity fitness test composed out of 8 exercises: 1. Switch Kicks, 2. Power Jacks, 3. Power Knees, 4. Power Jumps, 5. Globe Jumps, 6. Suicide Jumps, 7. Push up Jacks, 8. Low Plank Oblique
After 90 days we will measure how much BF% each lost and the percentage gain of reps of all 8 exercises.
The loss of 1% body fat counts as 1 point.
e.g. dropping from 22% to 20% BF counts as 2 points.
The 1% increase of exercise reps counts as 0.05 points.
e.g. increasing from 15 to 20 push-ups is a 30% increase and therefore counts as 30 x 0.05 = 1-5 points
The person who has accumulated the most points wins.
Me: Will make a video of me dancing to Psy's Gagnam Style for 1 minute and then doing a Gagnam Style workout for another minute.
Niels: Will do a 20 minute circuit in an Obelix costume with a pillow as extra belly padding. And he"ll make a music video out of it. I prefer the Benny Hill chase music
Of course it will be posted on this website.
How to join?

Remember being willing to change, to do something is the first step to success.
The ultimate goal is going beyond the challenge and to make 2013 your year of better health and fitness.
